Do you attend networking events? If so, which ones?

Not usually. I find it is more fun and more effective to attend events that I am otherwise interested in. Sooner or later all friendships, acquaintainces and common hobbies are a form of networking, and if that isn't the whole agenda in the meantime I'll be less self-conscious.
