Work history

Another Angle August 2008 to the present
Writer/Producer/Director

How would you describe your time at Another Angle?

Another Angle is my dream company that will, with any luck, answer all my creative desires. It has a 'virtual office' hosted on Francis Ford Coppola's, Zoetrope Virtual Studio website. A link is provided above if you care to visit. You can join me there and other writers, producers and directors if you want to exchange screenplays for review and discussion, or just chat about the film and TV industry worldwide. In the meantime, I'm very happy working at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (see below or check out the link above) as a production manager -- my full-time job.... read more
ABC TV (Australia) August 2002 to the present
Production Manager

How would you describe your time at ABC TV (Australia)?

This is my day job and I love it. I currently manage two shows for the network, 'Catalyst' and 'Media Watch'. Links are provided above if you are interested in finding out more about these shows or the corporation itself. You'd have to dangle a bloody big carrot in front of me to get me to leave it. I work with a wonderful group of people, and yes, that includes management. The ABC is an amazing corporation with all the resources one could possibly hope for from a TV network, or I should say, a multi-platform content provider. It's a bit like the BBC or PBS. It has multiply digital free-to-air TV channels, AM and FM radio stations, internet and vodcast services, an international distribution arm, a music publishing division, merchandising shops, an orchestra and... The list goes on! Best of all it pays my bills and allows me to write feature film screenplays in the evenings and on the weekends when I am not busy earning a living.... read more
Oracle Pictures April 1994 to September 1998
Managing Director/Producer

How would you describe your time at Oracle Pictures?

This was my first production company and I managed it for six years. I'm not sure if it is still trading as I sold my interest in it some years ago. Oracle was a great company to be a part of. We, a group of six filmmakers, produced many award-winning and high rating documentaries and developed many feature films. Unfortunately, none of the features came to fruition. We came close, but never saw that elusive green light. We had lots of little yeses but not the big yes. I left the company in 1998 to pursue a freelance career.... read more
